- "What?!? You fool! How dare you attack the mighty Dr. Wily!"
- ―Dr. Wily, Mega Man V
Doctor Albert W. Wily (Dr.アルバート・W・ワイリー Dokutā Arubāto W Wairī) is the main antagonist of the original Mega Man series, appearing in every game as the antagonist but not necessarily always as the final boss. In the Mega Man series, Wily resembles a stereotypical mad scientist as he schemes to take over the world, creating several robots to help him. Though Wily's schemes were stopped time and time again, this did not stop him from being recorded in history as a legendary mad scientist, his legacy continuing even into the next century. He even appears consciously active long after the demise of his mortal body, playing a significant role in the Mega Man X series. He, for some reason, likes wiggling his eyebrows before going in his capsule (on some games).

Make a Good Mega Man Level
As usual, Dr. Wily appears as the main antagonist of the first game. He first appears in the intro cutscene announcing his intention to take over the festival, and he swarms it with his robots and scatters the Energy Elements. Wily is not mentioned again until all 24 submission Energy Elements are obtained, on which Dr. Light tells Mega Man that Wily burst into the lab and installed a teleporter to his castle, inviting Mega Man to his fortress. Once Mega Man fights his way to the end, Wily ambushes Mega Man and steals the Energy Elements, used to power his Wily Machine, Wily Machine Trophy. Wily is, as usual, defeated, and in an escape plan, sics a decoy robot on Mega Man to ensure his escape. He is not seen again.
Make a Good Mega Man Level 2
Dr. Wily once again serves as the main antagonist of the game, this time appearing only after Mega Man has obtained 65 Energy Elements. Once he does, Wily reveals his newest fortress, the Wily Star II, and his new weapon, the Reality Cannon, which can warp reality. Once again, Dr. Wily dares Mega Man to get to his fortress, and with the help of Dr. Light, the cloaked figure, and the Energy Elements, Mega Man hops in a spaceship to chase after Wily.
Once Wily is finally cornered, he activates the Reality Core, and the world is mixed up with the simulations, creating a giant maze that Mega Man fights through. Wily is once again cornered after Mega Man destroys the five cores in the maze, and he fights Mega Man in the Wily Machine SWORD. When this plan fails, he warps himself and Mega Man to a pocket dimension, where he then attempts to summon an evil version of Mega Man from another dimension, only to summon megaman sprite game. megaman sprite game knocks Wily away and fights Mega Man, giving Wily time to collapse the pocket dimension and start a getaway in his escape pod, but Mega Man catches up to him with the help of the Energy Elements. Wily is defeated, and in a fit of rage, he knocks Mega Man away as his machine explodes with him still inside it.
Despite his escape pod exploding, he reappears in the Dojo in the postgame, offering up simulations of the previous Wily levels, claiming to be going into the entertainment business. He allows Mega Man to use the simulations for free as long as he doesn't call the police on him. Wily stays in the Dojo for the rest of the game.
