- "I hid myself while I repaired myself."
- ―Zero, Make a Good Mega Man Level 2
Originally a hastily built a decoy robot, built only to slow Mega Man's escape from Wily Castle, Zero is the secondary antagonist of Make a Good Mega Man Level 2. Gaining sentience and angry at Wily for using and discarding him, Zero helps Mega Man out throughout the game, revealing his true identity once Wily has been stopped and Mega Man has collected all the Energy Elements possible at that point. He built his own fortress, which serves as one of the final challenges in the game.
Appearing as a the final boss (in a battle which he cannot harm you) in the first game, he also has the role of the final boss of the Arena in the same game, and his creation serves as the true final boss in the second game and it's True Arena.
Zero is a joke at the expense of the Zero from the official series, and the tendency for fan-games to include him as some form of ultimate threat, with one of the more infamous examples being Mega Man Unlimited. Mega Man Unlimited is directly parodied in the second Make a Good Mega Man game with the capsule containing Absolute Zero looking very close to Zero's capsule from Unlimited.
