- "Devkit Boss added. Power Piston. (sorry)"
- ―ACESpark, upon adding Power Piston to the Megamix Engine.
Power Piston is a(n infamous) boss from Mega Man 6. Used by Dr. Wily as a line of defense in "Mr. X's" Castle, it attacks with energy shots and powerful wall pistons. The latter not only causes rocks to fall from the ceiling, but also creates small earthquakes while the machine stays out of range of most attacks.
Power Piston was included as a devkit boss with the release of the Megamix Engine, and as such, appears in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level in that capacity. The more annoying parts of it have been toned down significantly from Mega Man 6, as it no longer shakes the screen, and the rocks use a less obnoxious explosion sound. In MaG48HMML, this new, quieter Power Piston appears as the boss of the entry Footloose. In MaGMML3, its only use in entries is as a miniboss in Boost Man, where its invincibility frames are removed; however, Power Piston also appears in Tier 11 as an NPC.
