- "Ugh, what's that horrible smell?"
- ―Heat Man, Make a Good Mega Man Level. He'd better get used to it.
Heat Man is a boss from Mega Man 2. Created by Dr. Wily as a means of doing everything Fire Man did but better, Heat Man can produce nuclear-powered fire that reaches temperatures of up to 12,000 degrees Celcius, using it for both offense and defense.
Heat Man appears in Make a Good Mega Man Level as an NPC in the Tier 1 sewer, complaining about an awful smell. He reappears as an NPC in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, again appearing in a sewer, Tier 2. Heat Man makes his first non-sewer inhabiting NPC role in Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, found in Chateau Chevaleresque in Mega City, expressing a seemingly baseless fear over giant elemental security robots.
Presumably having gotten sick of being chucked into sewers, he was added as a premade boss with the Megamix Engine's release, and subsequently appears in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level as a devkit boss.

Battle
When left unprovoked, Heat Man will constantly toss groups of three flames that grow into larger pillars when they touch the ground, with the distance between the furthest-thrown and second-furthest-thrown flame being larger than the distance between the second-furthest-thrown and the closest-thrown. When Heat Man takes damage, he will engulf himself in flames and charge to Mega Man's position after a brief pause. Heat Man will be invincible to most attacks when engulfed in flames, and to all attacks when charging. The flames will then disappear from around Heat Man, making him vulnerable again, and he will resume his pattern.

Trivia
- Heat Man plays his charge attack sound when igniting himself; though it seems like an inaccuracy at first, Heat Man actually does play it when igniting himself in Mega Man 2, though the "enemy hit" sound lasts long enough to overwrite it in-game. Replacing the sound effect for a shorter one allows one to hear it.
