Dethgerbis is a boss from Super C. Also known as "Shadow Beast Demon Statue Dethgerbis", it is an organic alien statue used as a defence system. In Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, it appears as the boss of the stage Contra Base.
Battle
Dethgerbis stays in the background, and is incapable of inflicting contact damage. However, it is only vulnerable in two parts of its body; the chest, which frequently shoots slow-moving fireballs; and the skull, which is the primary weak point. Two Tomahawk Platforms are present on either side to help Zero reach the skull. The chest doesn't affect the boss's lifebar, but destroying it disables Dethgerbis's ability to shoot fireballs. Dethgerbis randomly uses other attacks, each one indicated by how its eyes look prior to using it. However, it will not use the same attack twice in a row:
- Red - A purple orb is shot from the mouth, which flies horizontally until it detects Zero's location, where it will then move straight up or down to hit him, similarly to Gyro Man's Gyro Attack.
- Blue - Dethgerbis shoots an eight-way spreadshot of small projectiles.
- No effect - Dethgerbis shoots three homing gel projectiles, identical to those fired by Wadders. The gel can be shot down and destroyed.
