M-422A is an enemy from Mega Man 4. It is an armoured aquatic survey robot resembling a jellyfish.
M-422A was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, where it didn't appear in any entry stages, but did appear in the Wily stage Flashback Database.
M-422A returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entry The Dampening, as well as the Wily Star II stage Reality Core, the Tier X stage Metallic Ocean, and the Pit of Pits sublevels "Metroid: Zero Mission" and "Ocean Sickness". It reappeared in Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero in the levels Toxic Tunnels and Null and Void.
In Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, they were used for the entry Water Park Sup. They were also used in the Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 entries Radium Man, An Underwater Adventure? Wow! and It Was Rated Arr.
Behavior
M-422A idly floats in one spot, diving down if Mega Man gets close enough to it in an effort to crash into him. Once it hits a surface, it will float back up to where it started, whereupon it repeats the process. M-422A is completely invincible (with only the Bait Bobber being able to harm it), forcing Mega Man to move around it instead of dispatching it.
