"A big cat robot that pukes hairballs balls and throws ticks"
―Note in Tama's code, Megamix Engine

Tama is a midboss from Mega Man 3. It is a giant cat robot built by Dr. Light.

Tama was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level contest, where it appeared in the entry Spiky Meltdown.

Tama returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entries Ancient Tomb, Quint Stage, AD 2101, and Donut Observation Center, as well as the Wily stage Classic Castle, the Tier X stage Deep Thoughts, and the Pit of Pits sub-level "You Gotta Be Kitten Me". It also appeared in the Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 Judge Application Level Gate 303.

Behavior

Tama will start by tossing two bouncing yarn balls. If the yarn balls are destroyed or scroll off-screen, it will then toss out three flea robots, which jump towards Mega Man with pauses in-between, similar to a Croaker's Petit Kerogs. When the fleas are destroyed or scroll off-screen, Tama will start its pattern over by tossing out two more yarn balls.
