- "two indestructible electric Gabyoalls, one on the floor and one on the ceiling, that fire arcs of electricity between them"
- ―Note in Electric Gabyoall's code, Megamix Engine
Electric Gabyoall is an enemy from Mega Man 3. It is a Spine variant that creates electric currents in pairs, acting as a barricade system.
Electric Gabyoall was first available in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, but saw no use in any entry stages. However, they were used in the Wily Star II stage Inner Sanctum, and the Pit of Pits sublevel "Junkyard 81". They also appeared in the Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero stages Volt Man Factory and Null and Void, and the Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level stage Pandora's Parlor. The latter game also used them as enemies in the Love Survivor sidequest, although with different functionality compared to their normal versions.
Behavior
Electric Gabyoall moves back and forth along a flat strip of land, creating an electric current between itself and its partner at regular intervals. This partner is automatically created when a lone Electric Gabyoall is spawned; in the editor, Electric Gabyoalls are placed on the ceiling, and the partner is automatically made at a specific height beneath it. The two move in perfect sync with each other; if one turns around upon facing an obstacle, so will the other regardless of the space available. Electric Gabyoalls are completely invincible, and all weapons merely pass harmlessly through them.
The Electric Gabyoalls in MaG48HMML's Love Survivor sidequest lack partners, cannot deal contact damage, and instead of electricity they create a long beam of light that is blocked by solids, including the Concrete Shot's blocks. Their invincibility is also slightly lessened, as the Spark Shock can paralyze them (though they ignore all other weapons).
Electric Gabyoall has a number of creation code variables:
- col - Changes the colour of an Electric Gabyoall's sprite; by default it is orange, but setting it to 1 will make it red.
- height - The spawn height of an Electric Gabyoall's partner.
- spd - The speed that Electric Gabyoall moves at.
- shootWait - The number of frames Electric Gabyoall waits for before firing another electric current.
