Napalm is a gimmick from Mega Man IV, found in Napalm Man's stage. It is a large and very lethal fire, akin to spikes.

Napalm was introduced in the Megamix Engine, and was present in all devkits using it. The first game to use it was Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, but the only entry it appeared in was The Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room. However, it made additional appearances in the game's Weapon Tutorials, and in the final level, Pandora's Parlor.

Behavior

Napalm merely sits in place, burning constantly. If Mega Man touches the fire, it will deal contact damage, instantly killing him by default. Napalm is immune to most weapons, but if the Water Shield, Tornado Blow, or Rain Flush is used on it, it will be extinguished. Rainy weather created by Tel Tel is also capable of putting out the flames. Unlike in Mega Man IV, once extinguished, Napalm will not reignite unless it is scrolled back on screen.
