Cossack Snow is a gimmick from Mega Man 4, found in the first stage of Dr. Cossack's Citadel. It is a thick bank of snow that slows down movement, making it harder for intruders to advance.

Cossack Snow was first made available in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, and was used in the entries Cardinal Man and A Mega Man for All Seasons (albeit very sparsely and with non-indicative tiles). It also made an appearance in the Wily stage Reality Core and the Pit of Pits mini-stage "Trash Dash", both times with much more obvious tiles.

Behavior

When Mega Man tries to run through Cossack Snow, his movement speed will be drastically decreased. The blocks that signify Cossack Snow is present are invisible by default in gameplay, with tiles intended to be placed over them to convey thick snow (or something else entirely if one wishes).
