The Battan is a gimmick in Mega Man 4. It is a large harmless grasshopper robot.

Battans were first made available in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where they appeared in the Pit of Pits sub-level "Gutsy".

Behavior

Battans will stand still at first. When Mega Man stands on one, it will start jumping forward, carrying Mega Man along with it.
